The American West
The American West is a unit examined as part of Paper 1. You will spend an hour on it in the exam. You will answer three source questions and three own knowledge questions.

Medicine through Time

Your homework is about Galen - the greatest doctor in the Roman Empire. You are going to collect information on his background, his medical discoveries and his impact on medicine.

The radio program, In Our Time. This is the richest source of information, particularly as
the experts on it have the most up-to-date interpretation of Galen and his work
and impact on medicine. (Some of the parts of the sheet can only be answered
from the program). This link will work on a computer but also you can use your
phone / ipad to listen to it.

You can do the sheet without any extra reading but I would like as many of you as possible to give some of these resources a go to further enhance your understanding. If you do not complete the sheet and print it out, you will lose the entire 30 minutes of your break time.
